As a youth, Jennifer Moore started riding at the age of 5 after her family moved to the country.  She pursued English riding with weekly lessons at 8 years old and she was given her first pony.

She was an active member & competitor in the Canadian Pony Club, going up through the levels & attained her B2.   She was also a recognized examiner for Ontario for other riding & theory  levels beneath her.

Jennifer competed several times with the Ontario & Canadian teams in Tetrathlon (swimming, shooting, cross-country running & cross- country riding), narrowly missing going internationally to Australia.

Various ponies & horses have been trained & shown by Jennifer through the years; the most memorable two in her past are her Thoroughbred mare that was sold to a student of Ian Millar and her Lipizzaner mare.  She continues to train various horses for herself and others.

Currently, Jennifer is recognized by OEF (Ontario Equestrian Federation), Equine Canada & is NCCP (National Coaching Certificate Program) certified.  Jennifer attends clinics & workshops regularly to keep certified & abreast of what is required for successful coaching of her students.   Notable clinicians & instructors for Jennifer are Anky Van Grunsven, Cindy Ishoy, Ian Millar, Eddo Hoekstra as well as various others.  She successfully coaches hunter, jumper & dressage disciplines; her students range in age from 3 years old to adults & all are in different levels of training & showing.  You may also find Jennifer either competing or as a judge at shows as well.

Jennifer encourages riders to experience horse shows but it is not mandatory that they participate.  Her philosophy is to ride well, be safe and have fun while doing it!

Jennifer's 2015/2016 Accomplishments will be posted soon!

Jennifer's 2014 Accomplishments

Jennifer continued to train and show two mounts this year; her black Hanoverian X gelding "Gordon" and her 4 year old OTTB gelding "Merv" which they had a great learning and showing year.

"Gordon" - The 2014 show season started off in June with some great results in London!  Competing in the stifling heat, they won 1st in Silver 1st Level 1 and then danced to their new musical to a 4th place in the Silver 1st Level Freestyle.  In their second show of the season this pair went back to London in July and again in humid hot weather, they proved nothing was out of their reach and jumped 10 percentage points to win 1st in their Silver 1st Level Freestyle with new music! And in their technical ride, they placed 5th in Silver 1st Level 1 with marginal percentage changes between the riders!  The next show in August proved to be a very long day(13hrs show time!), but they did well and  placed 2nd in their Silver 1st Level Freestyle and 6th in their 1st Level 1 technical ride.

To end their exciting 2014 dressage year, Jennifer and "Gordon" travelled to the Western Ontario Championships in London in September, where despite the cold rain & muddy rings they rode exceptionally well - winning 1st in their 1st Level Freestyle Kur (achieving their best score this season!) and 8th in their 1st Level Test 3.  And with this, this duo won Overall Grand Champion for Freestyle Kur at these championships!  Also, Jennifer and "Gordon" were part of the championship team challenge where she helped win a Team 6th Place!  What a great championship show!

Regional Dressage Results:  Jennifer and "Gordon" have won 9th overall in Open 1st Level Division and Grand Champion in all of the Freestyle Divisions!  Also their regional team challenge won Team Grand Champion out of 10 teams

Eastern & Western Division Combined Results Awards: Overall Reserve Champion in their Open Freestyle Division! Also placed 9th overall in their Technical Division

Cadora Ontario Results: 11th out of 59 entries in Open 1st Level Division and Grand Champion Freestyle!

"Merv" - The 2014 show season began with a bang with this little duo!  They began their year in June in London winning ribbons across the board: Their first two classes brought 1sts in Silver Open WTA and Silver Open WTB!  They then switched to a higher technical level and proved they could do it, winning 4th in Silver Training 1.  In their last class of the day, this duo danced their way with ColdPlay and received a 2nd place finish in their Silver Training Freestyle!   Their next show in July was in London again, and they proved they were where they should be albeit it was a hot and humid day!  Their first class was their hardest but this didn't stop them - they placed 6th against seasoned riders/horses in their Silver Training Level 1.  They then showed the next two classes and received a 1st in Silver Open WTA and 2nd in Silver Open WTB!  Their last class of the day was dancing to ColdPlay once again, showing well and winning 3rd in the Silver Training Level Freestyle.  Their next show was in September in London with perfect riding weather!  They proved once again that they could do very well by winning 1sts in Silver Open WTA and Silver Open WTB - and they were over 70%!  They then performed their Silver Training 1 technical class well, this time placing 2nd.  Changing their discipline in October, they travelled to Touch N Go in Campbellville and rode very well together.  In Hunter Hack they placed 8th, Equitation on the Flat 1st, Cadora Walk/Trot Test B 1st, Hunter Under Saddle 5th.

To end their exciting 2014 dressage year, Jennifer and "Merv" travelled to the Western Ontario Provincial Dressage Championships in London in September, where despite the cold rain & muddy rings they rode amazingly together - winning 2nds in both of their Open WTC & WTD classes.  With this, this pair won Overall Reserve Champion for their division at these championships!  Also, Jennifer and "Merv" were part of the team challenge where she helped win a Team Reserve Champion!  What a great championship show!

Regional Dressage Results:  Jennifer and "Merv" have won Grand Champion overall in Open W/T Division and Reserve Champion in all of the Freestyle Divisions!  Also their regional team challenge won Team 6th Place out of 10 teams!

Eastern & Western Division Combined Results Awards: Overall Reserve Champion!

Cadora Ontario Results:  3rd in Open Walk/Trot Division, 8th out of 72 entries in Open Training Level Division and Grand Champion Freestyle!

The Royal located in Toronto in November was great fun and a huge learning experience for Jennifer, friend and student Ellen, and 4 year old OTTB gelding "Merv"! Not only did Merv do so well in his classes with manners, his rides and doing everything he was asked but also came away with 8th place in one class!  We look forward to entering again and possibly going back next year!

Awarded 4th place in the combined CDN/USA Thoroughbred Jockey Club Green OTTB Awards Category, as well as 4th place in the combined CDN/USA Thoroughbred Jockey Club Ontario Bred Performance Awards Division.
